Hi friends!
Summer has finally (ish) arrived in Central Oregon. Our tiny little town of Sisters, OR is starting to wake up with visitors heading out for adventures in the woods and mountains and rivers (and into Marigold + True, too!). Our home is all bright with sunlight, the doors propped open all day long, porches blooming with potted flowers.
More than ever, I can feel my body and my work, too, aligning with the seasons. After a long winter of cocooning and taking a much needed respite of rest and restoration, I can feel my inspiration – that vibrancy and enthusiasm that I love so deeply – returning. Noticing and appreciating these rhythms is sort of new for me since moving to a small nature town. A huge blessing.
I travelled down to CA to visit with a few friends recently. Hello, life giving. After more than a year of separation, it was pure delight to reunite. Good conversation, giggles, swimming, eating, and just the holy ordinariness of being together.
Forever thankful for my friendships that have buoyed me just about my whole life.
I also went on a road/camping trip with True and his 4th grade class all around Eastern OR. You guys, it was so so sweet. I will treasure those few days together for the rest of my days. True is 10 and a half years old and is incredibly silly, loves to read, skateboarding, and loooooves his unconventional school experience (we’ve been Waldorf podding for 4th grade during the pandemic).
We all love it. It’s been an unexpected blessing of this last year.
Meanwhile, when I’m not in the studio painting (thank you so much for your support a couple of weeks ago when I laughed some originals!), I’m getting my little boutique all spiffed up for it’s summer traffic. We’re just about stocked up and ready. If you’re coming through Sisters this summer, come by and say hello!
Here’s the fullness of life and living. May we each trust the journey, knowing that we are right on time, exactly where we are supposed to be.
BIG love, Kelly Rae
PS: This is Mac. He lives at Harmony Sanctuary Farm where we volunteer once a week. Isn’t he handsome???
