Hello, friends! I’m home from teaching a week long class at 1440 Multiversity in California. It was so full of so much goodness.
This retreat marked the first time I’ve taught an in-person class since I was pregnant with True (who is now almost 7 years old)! After True was born, I decided to stay close to home and create some online courses, reducing travel as much as possible. Hello the various seasons of life!
My family and I are in a new season of life now, making opportunities to travel for teaching more of a possibility. When 1440 asked if I’d come and teach my Spirit Wings course in person, I decided to take the leap. AND I took my family with me!
All week, I was in such awe of these sisters circling to support one another as they painted – many for the first time – their angels.
I witnessed frustration clumsily stumble its way to awe-inspiring peace both on the canvas and in the hearts (trusting the process). I witnessed big bold moves that led the way to breakthrough paintings (trusting our urges that lead to our authentic creative voice). I saw curiosity lead the way to next moves, one small move at a time all the way until a finished painting emerged (embracing curiosity).
We did soul work, together. We silenced the noise, called in the angels we’d like guidance from, listened to their wisdom, wrote down their messages, shared those messages with one another. Lots of sistering, witnessing, holding space for one another. This class is a sacred process, and it requires that we are in collaboration with our highest, wisest selves. And that’s a delicate dance, indeed. It requires tuning in, getting both quiet and loud with what our hearts need to hear the most. And it’s walking the line of both permissions and commitment to see it through.
I am in awe, proud of how they showed up for themselves, and how they allowed THEIR angels to emerge on their canvases. Complete bliss as a teacher.
I definitely plan to do more retreats, likely twice a year max. This retreat sold out in a day (MAJOR gratitude). For those of you interested in attending my next retreat, be sure to sign up for my newsletter right over here.
Big love,
