In 2006, I got my first book deal and my art became licensed — landing in home decor stores and gift shops all over the world (dream. come. true.) and generating double-digit millions in revenue.
One of my favorite recent collaborations has been illustrating the 40th Anniversary Edition of Louise Hay‘s groundbreaking bestselling book, You Can Heal Your Life. Over 50 million copies sold! This special edition will include about 40 full-color images (including the cover!) of mine.

What is a possibilitarian?
I first saw the word ‘possibilitarian’ in a quote by Dr. Norman Peale: “Become a possibilitarian. No matter how dark things seem to be or actually are, raise your sights and see possibilities—always see them, for they’re always there.”
I’ve been hooked on its meaning ever since. Have you begun to touch the surface of all that is possible for your life? Does it give you goosebumps to think about it (I hope it does)? If so, then you’re a possibilitarian, too.

I want to visit your studio/take you out for coffee, when are you free?
I’d love to connect with you! That said, my studio is not open to the public, and as much as I would love to have a cup of tea with each and every member of the Possibilitarian tribe, it’s just not possible. Hello life as a full-time artist and mama! I hope you understand.
Will you donate something to my fundraiser and/or help me spread the word about it?
Although I’d like to, it’s just not possible to donate to everyone who reaches out with their cause/event. I privately support causes close to my heart.
I learned about you through one of Brene Brown’s books. Where is the blog post that she referenced? The one about boundaries?
I love Brene and the ways she is truly changing our world! The blog post that Brene has referenced in her books is a post I wrote called What Is And Is Not Okay. It was written looooong ago when I felt I needed to do a bit of boundary protection and gentle education about my artwork.
Can I use your artwork on my conference materials, website, or in my newsletter, etc?
I ask that you do not use my images. If you’d like to tell people about me, please give them the link to my site, and know that I’m honored.
Are your prints available for wholesale?

The quality of your prints is fantastic! Do you make them yourself or do you have them printed elsewhere?
Why, thank you! Using a professional Epson scanner and fancy printer, I print them myself. They are high quality, made using archival, fade-resistant inks on professional grade paper with a matte finish. Specifically, I use the Epson Perfection 4490 photo scanner and the Epson Photo HD XP-15000 printer.
I don’t see any original paintings for sale. When will you have more available and how much will they cost?
Periodically, I list new batches of paintings for sale in the shop. To be the first to know, sign up for The Collector’s List!
Prices for original paintings usually range from $300-$4000, depending on the size and complexities of the painting.
I’d love to commission a Kelly Rae original. Will you paint something for me?
These days, it feels best for me to paint only what naturally rises up from my heart, so I’m not taking on any commission projects.
Where did you go to art school?
I didn’t attend art school! I have a graduate degree in clinical social work and worked for many years as a medical social worker before pursuing art full time.
