Imagine me over here doing happy dances on repeat. Why? Because the 40th Anniversary Ed of You Can Heal Your Life, illustrated by yours truly, is NOW AVAILABLE!

Last year, when I was invited to take on this project, I had just gone through a season of releasing and letting go, trusting that in the open spaces, something beautiful and irresistible would emerge to fill them. (You can read more about that story here on my blog.)

And just like that, Hay House reached out with an opportunity that has truly become one of the highlights of my career. I can hardly believe it. The medical social worker in me, back in my 20s, is in awe. The emerging artist in me, from my 30s, is amazed. And as I sit here at 49, I’m filled with a deep sense of wonder.

Louise Hay passed away about 7 years ago at the age of 90. I never had the chance to meet her, but her work touched my life starting in my early 20s. I still remember the store where I stumbled upon her affirmation card deck near the register. Her words paired with the art on those cards captivated me. Who could have known that nearly 30 years later, I would have the honor of illustrating her wisdom? It feels like such a full-circle mystical moment.

I am in complete awe of how life works in such mysterious, beautiful ways. And I am grateful.
